Radha Nagar Beach, also known as beach No.7, is a pristine, unspoilt haven. With white powdery sand, crystal clear water, stunning coral reefs and lush rainforest, it is absolutely idyllic. Radha Nagar Beach is located on Havelock Island, which is itself part of the Andaman and Nicobar Archipelago. That group of islands lies in the Bay of Bengal, about 1000km (620mi) away off the Indian western coastline. Geographically speaking, it is actually much closer to Southeast Asian countries such as Burma (200 km), Thailand and Malaysia than to mainland India. That secludeness makes that coastal areas and beaches of such a paradise have remained relatively unspoilt and untouched.

To get the chance to experience Rhada Nagar, one would have to get to the Andaman’s archipelago. From mainland India, there are flights from Madras or Kolkata to Port Blair, Andaman’s capital. The trip is about 2 hour-long. If you want a piece of advice, forget about reaching the Andaman’s by sea. Boats do depart from mainland India (Calcutta…) but the journey is about 60 hour-long!
Once you are in Port Blair, go to the Phoenix Bay Jetty where ferries take you on a 3 hour-long journey to Havelock Island, “the island campers’ paradise”. There, hop on one of the buses eagerly waiting for you. After a 20-minute drive up and downhill on a winding road, the bus drops you right in front of the breathtaking Radha Nagar Beach. Enjoy a serene haven like no other.
